Specialising in small to medium sized residential / light commercial projects, covering anything from geotechnical reports for small extensions to 15+ lot subdivisions. Our key skill sets are foundation investigations, slope stability, land damage and liquefaction assessments.

My name is Jacob. I am born and bred in Hawkes Bay and have been doing geotechnical work here for the last 7 years. I previously managed the geotechnical team of a large firm in Hawkes Bay before starting my own company, Below Ground Limited in 2023. The move into my own company was inspired by an initiative to provide a cost effective, personable alternative for geotechnical services in Hawkes Bay and surrounding regions. I am a chartered professional geotechnical engineer (CPEng) registered with Engineering New Zealand and pride myself on taking projects from start to finish.
